Search Mac For Files By Date10/16/2021
Click a Plus button in the top right corner and select Search parameters: Kind, Date, Name, File. To search a range of dates, you have a few options: Click a date and drag your mouse to select the range.Go to Finder menu click on File select New Smart Folder. Click any date to search for files modified on that day. The screenshot below shows the main user interface.To find the files that have been changed (with the files data modification time older than) in the last N days from a directory and subdirectories, use:Either way, type in your search argument, choosing whether you want to look for files that were created on a date or modified on a date, like this: created:xx/xx/xxxx modified:xx/xx/xxxxTo choose a more specific date range follow those steps, then click anywhere on the text in that box after the colon (so, for example, on this week) and a calendar will pop up. You can think of it as Google for your local files.Replace N with a number (integer) -mtime -N is used to match files that had their data modified in the last N days. Replace it with the path of the directory where you want to look for files that have been modified in the last N days /directory/path/ is the directory path where to look for files that have been modified.
